Via MLB Trade Rumors: The Royals announced that they have signed shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. to the largest contract in franchise history. It’s an 11-year, $288.7MM extension, per Jeff Passan of ESPN. The Yankees are acquiring left-hander Caleb Ferguson from the Dodgers, reports Jon Heyman of The New York Post. The Mariners have acquired right-hander Gregory Santos from the White Sox in exchange for right-hander Prelander Berroa, outfielder Zach DeLoach, and their 2024 Competitive Balance Round B draft pick (#69 overall), according to Jeff Passan of ESPN. The White Sox have a deal in place with the Arizona Diamondbacks to acquire outfielder Dominic Fletcher, according to Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times. Right-hander Cristian Mena is headed to Arizona in exchange for Fletcher’s services 📝
