The Mariners and Twins have lined up on one of the bigger trades of the offseason. Seattle announced the acquisition of second baseman Jorge Polanco for four players: reliever Justin Topa, starter Anthony DeSclafani and prospects Gabriel Gonzalez and Darren Bowen, as well as cash considerations. The Mariners are reportedly including $8MM to cover two-thirds of DeSclafani’s $12MM salary for the upcoming campaign. The Blue Jays will have a new designated hitter for the 2024 season, as they’ve reportedly agreed to a one-year, $13MM contract with free agent Justin Turner. MLB The Show 24 introduced a unique feature for Vlad Jr.’s cover reveal. MLB The Show traveled to Guerrero’s hometown in the Dominican Republic in December to film a special documentary in honor of him being named to the 2024 cover athlete 📝
