Via MLB Trade Rumors: The Blue Jays have agreed to a two-year, $15MM deal with Isiah Kiner-Falefa, according to FanSided’s Robert Murray. The White Sox are in agreement with catcher Martín Maldonado on a one-year contract with an option for 2025, reports Jon Heyman of the New York Post. The city of Toronto got a Boxing Day gift from the Blue Jays, as center fielder Kevin Kiermaier has agreed to a one-year deal (which is pending a physical). The Equity Baseball client is reportedly guaranteed $10.5MM, while the deal contains additional incentives. The Yankees and Guardians have agreed on a trade that will send outfielder Estevan Florial to Cleveland in exchange for right-hander Cody Morris, per an announcement from both clubs. The Mariners and Mitch Garver have agreed to a two-year, $24MM contract, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan. The Padres have signed left-hander Yuki Matsui to a five-year contract, the club has announced. Matsui and the Padres were reportedly close to a deal earlier this week. ESPN’s Jeff Passan reports that Matsui will receive $28MM guaranteed over the life of the contract, which includes opt-outs after the third and fourth seasons of the deal as well as an injury clause that can convert the fifth year of the contract into a club option worth $7MM if Matsui suffers a “serious” elbow injury during the life of the contract.
